A quick glimpse at the Samsung's New Exynos 7872.

Samsung has now released a Exynos processor "The Exynos 7872 Processor".

Now this Aimed at the devices of Mid-Range such as the Meizu which has recently released.

So now what is the Exynos 7872 ?...

While buying any flagship smartphones we all generally prefer good performnce,good processor and good GPU's.

But people often tend to buy mid-range phones .So therefore the quality,performance and of course  the GPU's is very significant to look after.

Keeping that in mind Samsung has released The New Exynos 7872.

  • It's basically a 64 bit processor.
  • But it's not of Octa Core processor.
  • This is generally a Hexa core.

Why is Hexa Core used ?...

In the low end we have a four energy efficient Cortex A53 Processors(We can find it in all the processors including the Octa core Processors).

It's Very reliable and very efficient Processor.

So Samsung has made a hexa core setup and A 73 processor which is very fast.
So they have sacrified two out four and reduced the space .

This allow some advantages such as
  • User Interface will be more fluid.
  • Downloading Web page will feel much more fluid.
  • Any thing that inlcudes single task will be much more faster.
  • There are situation where all the six core must be fired and this works very fast
  • Very good GPU (Mali G 71) but it has only one GPU core.Now if you compare it to a high end device I mean the last Exynos had 20 Cores but this has only one core, that's a huge difference.
  • 14 Nanometer fabrication processor is used and uses a low DDR3 RAM(but its SLOW).
  • No dual camera .
  • Single camera is 21 mega pixels @ Full HD recording..
  • 300 MB a second LTE 4G modem and Bluetooth 5.
Main competitor of  Exynos 7872 is the Snapdragon 650 

The Snapdragon 650 is also a Hexa core but has got A72 cores not A73 with that being said 7872 would be faster than 650.

Advantages of Snapdragon 650 is that it allows 4K recording where in the 7872 does not.
some of the iteration of the Snapdragon 650 are the 652,653 which are truely Octacore where you find four High performance cores which you find only two in Hexa cores.

A hacking campaign is targeting the energy sector in Europe and the US with the potential of sabotaging national power grids, a cybersecurity firm has warned. The group, dubbed "Dragonfly" by researchers at Symantec, has been in operation since at least 2011 but went dark in 2014 after it was first exposed, secretly placing backdoors in the industrial control systems of power plants across the US and Europe. Now, Symantec reports, the group has resumed operations, apparently working since late 2015 to investigate and penetrate energy facilities in at least three countries: the US, Turkey and Switzerland.
