Google Announces New Features And A Major Security Update For Chrome

The busiest company in the world "Google" has once again spent its time working on new features and also revamping a few things which I would be throwing light on in this blog. Some of the changes that were rolled by Google are as follows.

Google Home supports URL and iCAL calendars

The assistants in the Google home will now be telling about the events from the URL and iCAL calendars that has imported into the Google calendar app. To access this just follow the steps given below.

1) Tap the menu icon (upper left-hand corner) of the Home app.

2) Tap Settings and scroll down to Calendar at the bottom of the page.

3) The calendar that you had imported previously would be present in the calendar list.

Google Chrome gets a major security update

The new security update of Chrome is called the " Site Isolation ". Now you might wonder what the hell is this Site isolation, here is where that you need to understand that Site location is used to prevent the users from entering into the malicious websites which steals the password and encryption key without your concern. Significantly with site Isolation in place, content from a web site's domain is put in a sandboxed process that is prevented from sharing the memory with other domains.

Some of the important features of Site Isolation is that

1) Site Isolation is currently operating in Chrome for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
2) Google ensures that if through site isolation you are 99% protected.
3) Site Isolation increases the memory overhead by 10 to 13% resulting in a slight performance decline which is negligible.

Slower pages appear lower in the mobile search results.

Now say goodbye to slower loading pages, gone are those days now where even if you have a strong internet connection you just have to wait for the pages to get loaded. Google has designed in such a way that whichever page loads slowly would be ranked lower such that it does not appears first in the search result.

Satellite view is added to Android Auto.

Android auto has given the user the privilege to view the map in the satellite view where previously it was not available.

To use the satellite view just follow the steps below.
1) Tap the menu button in the upper left-hand corner of the infotainment screen,  scroll down and toggle it on.

Google clip gets several new features.

Version 1.6 has some adds some new features to Google's clip with AI-driven.

1) The time-lapse function takes a series of still pictures and combines to fast forward sequence.

2) Facial recognition has been improved.

3) The camera learns to distinguish the types of clips you save from those you delete and takes pictures based on what it learns.

4) Pictures taken during the previous seven days can be reviewed and restored if you change your mind after they've been deleted.

Youtube has the new Incognito Mode.

Now don't worry guys even youtube has the new Incognito mode, where you can work privately, don't take me another way around, you know what I'm saying right, in order to enable it to follow the below step.

1) Tap the Account icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to find the toggle for Incognito Mode, you will remain in this mode until you turn it off.

Great work Google for developing this new Incognito Mode.
